NIWIIT Bauchi and Ekiti State Executives Took Oath of Office
The Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT) inaugurated state executives for the Bauchi and Ekiti State Chapters on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. The event was led by the NIWIIT President, Dr. Ayodele Oluwakemi Sade, FNCS.
Dr. Ayodele in her address, congratulated the new executives and administered their oath of office. She encouraged the leaders to uphold the society’s code of conduct and professional standards. In addition, she emphasized the importance of integrity and responsibility in their roles. Furthermore, the President reminded the new executives that their positions come with the responsibility to drive meaningful change in their chapters and tech space.

- Abumere-Bodjor Elizabeth – Public Relations Officer (PRO)
- Joshua Christiana Ali – Welfare Officer
NIWIIT Ekiti State Chapter New Executives
- Lawal Fatimah Bukola – State Coordinator
- Olaniyi Ifeoluwa Tolu – Secretary
- Ibikunle Monisola Opeyemi – Treasurer
- Olarewaju Oluwabamidele Esther – Financial Secretary
- Akadi Dupe Victoria – Public Relations Officer (PRO)
- Ojo Phebean Opeyemi – Welfare Officer
- Akinyele Oluwakemi – Special Duties
In their acceptance speeches, Dr. Fatima Umar Zambuk and Mrs. Lawal Fatimah Bukola, the state coordinators for Bauchi and Ekiti respectively, expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to serve. They pledged to adhere to the association’s code of conduct and to make their tenures impactful by promoting growth and innovation within their chapters.
The event also featured goodwill messages from iconic women. Dr. Pastor Mrs. Adeola Ikechukwu, FNCS, the first president of NIWIIT, congratulated the new executives and encouraged them to view their roles as a call to serve. Dr Ikechukwu reminded them of the power of collaboration and dedication. Pastor Mrs. Veronica Ola Owolabi, FNCS, Provost College of Fellow, added her voice, emphasizing the importance of leadership, teamwork, and commitment to delivering on promises. She encouraged members to support their leaders physically, morally, and financially to drive the association’s mission forward.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the NIWIIT Vice President, Mrs. Funmilola Omojola, FNCS, who extended her congratulations to the new leaders. The vice president invited attendees to the NIWIIT 10th National Conference and 11th Annual General Meeting, scheduled for June 18-19, 2025, in Abuja. The conference theme is, “Women and AI: Unlocking Resilience, Fostering Innovation, and Leadership.”
