Dr. Olukemi Ayodele, National President of Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT)
The National President of Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT), Dr. Olukemi Ayodele, recently joined members of the NIWIIT Kogi State Chapter at a town hall meeting and the launch of the Citizens’ Assembly in Kogi State. This event was an important step in helping women get involved in important conversations about technology and leadership in the community.
At NIWIIT, we work hard to make sure women are seen and heard in discussions that shape the future of technology in Nigeria. Events like this help us build strong connections, support women in the ICT field, and encourage them to take part in decision-making that affects both the local and national levels.
The town hall meeting allowed for open discussions on how women can play a bigger role in technology, innovation, and leadership. It also gave us the chance to work with other professionals, like the representatives of Women Engineers from Kogi State, who also attended. Together, we are creating opportunities for women to succeed in tech and other areas.
As NIWIIT grows across Nigeria, we will continue to support women in tech, promote gender equality, and make sure women are involved in the development of technology.
