InnovateHer2025 - Women and AI: Unlocking Resilience, Fostering Innovation, and Leadership

The Nigeria Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT) invites submissions of original research, case studies, and innovative ideas for the 2025 NIWIIT Conference from researchers, practitioners, academics, and industry leaders. This prestigious event will focus on the evolving role of women in the rapidly expanding field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), exploring ways to unlock resilience, foster innovation, and empower leadership, fostering discussions that advance resilience and innovation in the tech industry.
This year’s conference seeks to empower women in AI by showcasing innovations and leadership in AI technologies; promote resilience through strategies and initiatives that encourage women’s perseverance in the tech and AI sectors; and foster leadership among women by sharing successful stories, challenges, and best practices in AI-related industries. We encourage submissions that explore AI’s impact on women, the challenges women face in AI, and success stories that have shaped innovation in the AI landscape.
Submission Guidelines
1. Abstract Submission
Abstract Length: Between 250-300 words.
Content: Provide an overview of the paper, including key objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes. Indicate which conference theme your paper aligns with.

Keywords: Please include 3–5 keywords related to your paper.
Deadline for Abstract Submission: February 15, 2025.
Notification of Abstract Acceptance: March 8, 2025.
2. Full Paper Submission
Paper Length: Between 4,000–6,000 words (including references).
Formatting: Papers should be formatted according to the guideline in MS Word or PDF, using APA 7 referencing style
Deadline for Full Paper Submission: March 29, 2025.

3. Review Process
All submissions will be peer-reviewed by an expert committee of professionals in AI, computing, gender equality, and technology.
Authors of accepted papers will be notified by April 26, 2025.
Deadline for final submission of reviewed accepted papers: May 3, 2025.

Presentation Formats
Authors of accepted papers will have the opportunity to present their work in one of the following formats:
Oral Presentation (10 minutes per presentation)
Panel Discussion (Grouped with other related papers)
Ensure you use the format guideline in preparation for the presentation slides.
Publication Opportunities
Selected papers from the conference will be published in the NCS Journal.
Authors will be invited to submit full revised versions of their papers for publication after the conference.

Authors of accepted papers to be included in the book of proceedings are to pay N10,000 (payable to NIWIIT’s account). For co-authored papers, the presentation certificate will be issued to one author. Additional certificates cost N5,000.
