The Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT) an interest group of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) is hosting her 8th national conference with the theme “Women breaking the glass ceiling in technology ‘”.

The future is “Female” thus our aim to explore how women are increasingly breaking barriers and making giant strides in the field of technology round the world.
In this digital era, technology is an integral part our lives and women drive digital innovation and technological advancement.

Recently, research studies have shown that organization that promote women outstrip their competitors on every measure of profitability.

By highlighting the achievement of women and addressing the challenges they face we can help create a more inclusive and equitable industry where all individual have opportunity to succeed.

In this conference,we shall explore the possible reasons for gender & cultural bias which mitigate women technological advancement and propose possible remedies.

This year’s NIWIIT conference, termed “WOMEN BREAKING GLASS CEILING IN TECHNOLOGY ” is a forum for women in academia & computing industries and other cognate discipline to share innovative ideas, explore research collaboration opportunity & share experience. It will provide a platform for various IT stakeholders to brainstorm,analyze present situations and profer solutions through keynote address, paper presentation and discussion.
